Since the completion of one of the largest EO/EG petrochemical plants in the world for Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company in 2010, CTCI’s excellent performance has earned the trust of owner SABIC, which has invited CTCI for its front-end engineering (FEED) contract. CTCI once again stands out from major international companies like JGC, Fluor, Mustang, and Worley Parsons in the competition for the debottlenecking project....
With worldwide awareness of environment on the rise, protecting our earth has become an urgent task for every country. With over 20 years of experience in incineration and waste management domestically, CTCI Group consolidated its subsidiaries and set up Group Resource Cycling Business (GRCB) last year in a bid to create a new green brand of "ECOVE", which works to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities and has set environment protection and sustainable development as its core goals.

In this issue's "Outlook," Mr. J. J. Liao, GRCB CEO of CTCI, expressed that GRCB will set its missions as "applying technical knowhow to advance efficiencies in ‘resource cycling’" by devoting all effort in developing the recycling business, which include waste management and power generation by way of waste-to-energy, as well as solar power and cycling economy. By synergizing techniques and technology from CTCI's Group Engineering Business and Group Intelligent Solutions Business, GRCB expands influence on the resource cycling business in global development.

Having accumulated over 20 years of experience in operating and managing incinerators, with an understanding about the reliance of western countries on such equipment and technologies, CTCI has taken steps to thoroughly examine the areas such as systems, equipment, and components and build up self-developed technologies for improvement, upgrading, and integration of them. With multiple patents obtained, CTCI not only solved the difficulties currently encountered by incinerators in Taiwan, but also further extended the application to other industries. "Technology" in this issue features a more in-depth discussion.

Since completing construction of the world's largest petrochemical plant for ethylene oxide (EO)/ethylene glycol (EG) in 2010, CTCI's excellent performance has received recognition from the owners in Saudi Arabia. "Discover Reliable" of this issue reports on the news of CTCI project team once again received invitation to join the bid for the project to expand production capacity of the aforementioned plant, and being selected among other major international corporations for front-end engineering designing, signifying that CTCI is moving up toward the goal of vertical integration for its turn-key project services.

As a member of the international turn-key project companies and gloabl citizens, CTCI has been utilizing green construction technologies to lower consumption of the energy and resources and reduce emission of greenhouse gas and pollutants. With adoption and implementation of the 17 sustained development goals (SDGs) for the United Nations by 2030, the "Sustainable Future" in this issue will give an introduction on how CTCI exemplified its core values for engineering projects to proactively implement various environment initiatives, as it continued efforts to help solve the difficulties faced by mankind.

As the world comes together like one family in CTCI, "CTCI Family" in this issue invites the colleague who comes from Mumbai, India and joined the CTCI Instrumentation & Control System Engineering Department in Taipei in 2005. He shared his experience of participating in Middle East oil refinery projects in Qatar LR2, Oman LIWA, as well as his opportunity to work in Taiwan "by accident" back then. More than a decade of work and like in these places has left him lasting and impressive memory. Now let’s read on.
